Where is the event located?

 

The Melanated Sex Expo (MSE) is taking over The Downtown Clifton hotel in Tucson, Arizona! This Black-owned boutique hotel will be exclusively ours, creating a true safe haven for our community. We have 30 rooms reserved, but please don’t book online! We’ll provide booking details soon. Plus, there are other nearby hotels for additional lodging options.

What are the dates and times for MSE?

The Melanated Sex Expo (MSE) runs from Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23, 2025. Activities will start on Friday evening and continue throughout the weekend.

Weekend Highlights:

Friday: Meet and Greet with Kandi Burruss (6 PM - 10 PM)
Saturday: Expo (11 AM - 6 PM) with performances, hands-on workshops, vendors, and on-site HIV/STI testing; Sexy Superheroes & Villains Cosplay Party (9 PM - 1:30 AM)
Sunday: Expo (11 AM - 3 PM) with performances, hands-on workshops, vendors, and on-site HIV/STI testing; 

Is the property 420-friendly?

Yes, The Downtown Clifton Hotel is 420-friendly in the courtyard area. Feel free to relax and enjoy responsibly!

What is the special room rate?

We’ve got a special rate of $129 per night for MSE guests! To book, click here The hotel has only 30 unique rooms, and space is limited, so it’s first come, first serve! You can book for 1 or 2 nights

Do I need to book a room to attend the Expo?

Nope! You’re welcome to join us for the Expo without booking a stay. But if you want to enjoy the full experience, grab one of the hotel’s dope rooms before they’re gone!

What are the room options?

The rooms have one queen bed, but they’re spacious enough for an air mattress or cot if you want to share. It’s all about making sure everyone is comfortable!

How old do I have to be to attend?

 

This is a 21 and up only event. Attendees must bring a valid ID for age verification. All bags will be checked to ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone.

 

What are the expo hours?

 

Friday: 6 pm – 10 pm (Meet & Greet with Kandi Burruss)

Saturday: 11 am – 6 pm (Expo), 9 pm – 1:30 am (Sultry Cosplay Party- Theme: Sexy Super Heroes and Villians)

Sunday: 11 am – 3 pm (Expo)

 

Additionally, a detailed schedule of activities will be posted on the website a week before the event, allowing attendees to plan and make the most of their Melanated Sex Expo experience.

 

How much are tickets and where do I get them?

 

All tickets (and prices) are available online here. Tickets are also available onsite at the registration desk the day of the event if not sold out, and prices may be slightly higher.

 

What should I wear?

 

Most attendees keep it casual, but feel free to dress as bold as you like within our guidelines! Women can wear pasties and g-strings as a minimum, while men can go bare-chested with g-strings or banana hammocks. Costumes and fetish wear are always encouraged—Saturday’s Sultry Cosplay Party theme is Sexy Superheroes and Villains, so go all out!

This is a safe space, so come as comfortable as you feel. Express yourself freely—just keep in mind, no full nudity.

 

Can I bring a camera or take pictures/video?

 

Yes, both cameras and video cameras are allowed for non-commercial use, unless specified otherwise.

Is this a lifestyle play party event?

 

No, this is a fun, sexy educational environment with an opportunity to explore and learn about all things related to sex, sexuality, and sexual wellness. If you want to continue the party in that way, you need to take it to your room or elsewhere.
